About Concert Choir
Concert Choir is an open, non-audition choir. Anyone can join regardless of previous singing experience or lack thereof. It currently meets during 3rd period.
Students in Concert Choir have the opportunity to learn and perform music from a wide variety of cultures, languages, styles, and time periods. Recently, Concert Choir has performed songs in Latin, German, French, Hebrew, and Zulu. Students also spend time learning the basics of music theory and sight reading, which helps improve their overall musicianship skills.
Concert Choir performs at 3-4 "home" concerts per year, as well as attending a few local festivals. During the 2018-19 school year, they received an Excellent rating at the CMEA Choral Festival at Palo Alto High School.
